THE OTHER SIDE OF BORNEO

Date : September 17-19, 2005

Ever since I can read the map of Borneo, I always wish I can visit Indonesia side of Borneo to see my dream river, Sungai Kapuas. Sungai Kapuas is the longest river in Borneo island. It has a watershed of 102,000 sq. km !!!! There are more than 300 species of freshwater fishes can be found in this river, some of them are rare or new to science.

This trip is just a survey trip to Kalimantan barat. In the future, I will spend more time to explore the interior of Kalimantan.
