LOWLAND FOREST OF MATANG AREA

Date : December 31st, 2005

Location : secret spot near Matang

On the last day of year 2005, I went to explore a lowland forest near Matang. There are a lot of jungle trails built by illegal timber logger. A mouse deer (small & forest dwelling deer; probably Tragulus javanicus ) was spotted near the trail.
