Rainforest over limestone
The forest over the limestone in Borneo is rich in biodiversity. The soil layer is very thin and dry most of the time However, some of the limestone hills covered by a layer of peat and humus which is as thick as 3 m. The limestone hills in Mulu National Park at 1700 m altitude are the only limestone hills support the submontane vegetation.
