A BLACKWATER RIVER IN NORTHERN PONTIANAK

There are too many beautiful fishes & aquatic plants such as Cryptocoryne can be found in this river & nearby swamp. As I was running out of time, I only managed to collect some common fish.

 

 

 

 

The lower part of this blackwater  river. Hair grassess growing abundantly here. The substrate is the peat soil.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The upper part of the river. The substrate is soft sand. Water PH is around 4.2.
