BUTTERFLY AND MOTH OF BORNEO

More than 290 species of butterfly and moth have been recorded  in Kinabalu of Sabah. More than 280 recorded in Mulu of Sarawak. 3 out of 43 species of swallowtail butterfly are rare species. They are : Graphium procles, Troides andromache and Papilio ancheron.

Red harlequin ( Paralaxita telesia ) Found in peat swamp forest of Matang.

unknown moth - this one looks like butterfly but in fact it is a species of moth !( the antennae of this species is without a club)

Unknown species....could be Peacock royal (Pratapa cippus maxentius ????) - found at Batang Kayan.
