JOURNEY TO THE RICHEST COUNTRY IN BORNEO

Nov 6th, 2004 Saturday.

It was a misty morning in Kuching area. I started to drive my car at 6.30am. James was my navigator and he would replace me as a driver whenever I am tired. The construction work of  the country road between Spaoh and Sarekei finally completed. We could drive as fast as 160km/hour without any problem. We reached Sibu's Durin ferry point about 5 1/2 hour later.

Some people worship the rock as they believe the rock got the superpower to help them forecast the number of the lottery ticket. They built a hut for it.

Around 3pm, we reached Bintulu zoo.

After hanging around in the zoo for one & half hour, we went to see the sunset at Tg. Batu beach.

Bintulu is an industrialized town so its nothing much to see. The largest plant in Bintulu is the LNG plant producing natural gas.
