THE MOUNTAIN ROAD OF PAHANG

I took some pictures of flora & fauna when I was
travelling in western Pahang lately.
The mountains of western Pahang.

The misty forest:

At least 40 tree ferns (Cyathea contaminans) were dug up by the
commercial collector & they left the trees very near to the roadside. The lorry
driver will come to pick those trees up soon. Tree fern can sell at very good
price in KL city. The tree is for landscaping purpose.

This aroid is most probably an undescribed species belongs to Scindapsus coriaceous group:

Bamboo orchid, Arundina graminifolia. The flower of the highland
species is much bigger & more colourful than the lowland one.
