Locality no. 1 - upper Sarawak river basin
The first locality is a sandy river where there are some lime stones near the river bank. Water PH is 7. Water temperature is 18 degree Celsius. Water hardness is 2 degree.
Vendula is photographing the loaches in the mini fish tank while Joerg is busy searching for loaches at the far end.
From this picture, you can see there is a big black shadow under the water. That is the leaf litter. Leaf litter is the hiding place for different species of loaches.
